I wouldn’t be shocked if he suddenly makes a claim for her. I liked how their interactions are very fiery and she gives as good as she gets. He is so malicious towards her that I had guessed there had to be more to it. We also find out more about why Neo hates her and is intent on his revenge.
He certainly knows how to fight for something he wants and wow does he want her. My heart went out to him when we find out how long he has been hiding his feelings for Scar. Jagger’s history with Scarlett is so sweet and I loved reading about when they were younger. This time we get Jagger’s side of events and watch him staking his claim on her. He was finally relieved they could be out on the open about their relationship after years hiding it and keeping it a secret. In Savage Games we had Crew and Scarlett getting together. I enjoyed that we learnt more about the past involving these four characters. Then we have the romance between Scarlett and the Lawless. We have the suspense of trying to work out who is her psycho stalker, why they have targeted her and what they want. As quickly as she gives you some answers, she leaves you with more, and nothing is what it seems. The author takes you on a thrilling and intriguing adventure as you try and unravel all the secrets and lies. This is a dark academy romance full of suspense and mystery with lots of twists and turns. Vicious Lies is book two of The Bastards of Boulder Cove by Rachel Leigh and continues straight on from Savage Games which introduced us to Scarlett and the Lawless boys Neo, Jagger and Crew. The games continue in VICIOUS LIES! My 4* Review: The games should be over, but it seems they’ve only just begun. I thought The Lawless were the ones I should fear, but someone far more vicious is watching. Now that I’ve earned my place, at the academy and in their home, I should have nothing to fear.īut with every past there is a shadow and mine is drawing closer with each step I take. I came here expecting to face my bullies with an iron fist.
